25B American Hoist & Derrick
Single drum with extended shaft and cat head,
no power.
Has external (contracting type) friction band (hand) and brake bands (foot
operated)
and also a hand operated pawl dog.
I have double gang chain for it to fit that bull gear sprocket, no cover.
I have loose engines of various horsepower/fuel available.
Fresh paint is in fair to good condition, some underlying pitting of metal in places.
Gears are in great shape. Brass throw-out collar is new, having been cast
from an old one. Spare collars are available here for $250 each.
Unit is 48" wide overall and 57.25" long, winch itself is 24" tall, one handle
sticks up much more.
The base of the winch measures 57.25" x 29", weight estimated at 800 pounds. *We may have to remove
one control lever to reduce height to 25" to get a good rate.
The drive sprocket sticks out from the
winch 2.5". It is 17 3/8" in diameter. If you turn it 11.25 times
the drum revolves once. The drum is 15" long and has a 3.25" flange.
The drum barrel is approx. 9" in diameter. The foot brake sticks out the
other side of the winch 6". The serial number is 184683. The rated
pull is 2500 pounds, single line pull at 180 feet per minute. The stall
pull is thought to be about 5000 pounds. The cathead is 5.5" in diameter
at the center of it and it sticks out 11" from the side of the winch.
Is now on a pallet for shipping, no charge for handling.
