Condition: Hull, deck, cabin, hand rails, hatches, tanks, doors and etc are all made of welded aluminum.  All aluminum in A#1 great shape.  Boat has been trailered most of its life.  Some interior needs to be replaced and all gauges and controls in both steering stations.  We have most of the parts needed to put it back together. Also, I have two new or rebuilt outdrives as are on the boat now but in 1.32 ratio (see photo of beige unit below).

This boat would be an easier conversion to diesel than most because the outdrives are connected to the engines by a short shaft with u-joints on it, so there is some flexibility as to how high or low you can mount the engines/gears in relation to the outdrive and how far forward or back you can move engines.  Also, since we can play with the gear ratios 1) in the forward/reverse gears mounted on the engines, as well as 2) the built in ratios in the lower units, then we can accommodate a greater range of horsepowers/and rpms.  I still feel the high end speed is going to be better with the gasoline engines but I understand people like diesels for economy.

The outdrives are designed really great.  The ones on the boat are good.  One is in the shop, it was taken off by a prior owner to paint the boat.  They are designed so simple.  No exhaust goes through them like on others you may be familar with, they have no water pumps in them and no water goes through them.  There are no "shift dogs" in them and they do not have a reverse, that is done via a transmission on the engine.  They are much heavier than a Mercuiser or a Volvo even without all that stuff I just mentioned.  I also have a DVD and a hard copy of the parts and overhaul manual for them.  The manufacturer is still in business, parts are available and competitive.  The spare outdrives I have are worth about $6,000 each.

Needs going through and finishing the inside.  Current replacement value about $300,000. (originally sold with the gas engines for $143,000 in 1985 dollars)
