As waterjets go this is a big one, however it would not be of
conventional construction in that it does not have an intake scoop or grate and it lacks
hinge mechanism for steering. I have only been able to find similar units on
Amphibious Assault Vehicles such as the AAV7A1, the LVTP 7, the LVTC 7, the LVTR 7 and
other similar variations. These tracked type vehicles used these in pairs, shaft driven
off the main engine. They were mounted outboard and the provided (included) scoop
was used for steering and/or reverse while in the water.
